Reservation and General Policies
Check-in 3:00 pm / Check-out 11:00 am
When you make a reservation with Painted Sky Inn, you will be charged a deposit of the first night’s stay (excluding taxes.) The balance will be due at check-in.
Payment types accepted include the following: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. We do not accept personal checks.
All room/unit rentals are subject to an 11% sales tax (this includes a 6% state tax & 5% county tax.)
Cancellations for non-group reservations require cancellation 14 days prior to arrival and are subject to a $10 cancellation fee per room.
Cancellations received between 14 days and 2 days of arrival will not be refunded, but can be moved one time and the deposit applied to a future stay excluding holidays and maximum occupancy dates
Cancellations received within 48 hours of arrival, no shows or shortened stays will be charged the entire amount of stay and cannot be refunded or moved.
For groups (more than 2 rooms), reunions or holiday reservations, a 30 day notice of cancellation is required or the entire amount will be charged.
Management can decide to refund cancellation charges only if the room(s) are reserved with another guest. The cancellation fee of $10 per room will still apply.
Check-In and Check-Out
Check-in time is 3PM. If you will be arriving after 8PM, please contact us for an alternative check-in procedure as our office will be closed.
Check-out time is 11am. If you fail to check out by 11AM (unless otherwise authorized by management), you will be charged an additional night’s stay.
Maximum Limit in Rooms
We take seriously the maximum limit in our rooms. If your party exceeds the maximum limit, you will have to rent additional rooms if available or make other lodging arrangements.
Non-Guest – Visitors
Because of the size of our property and guest enjoyment , we do not allow day use of the property for non-guests/visitors.
We are happy to welcome visitors who would like a tour of the property for future stays.
Quiet Time – Music
We ask that you respect all of our guests by keeping the noise level to a minimum between the hours of 10PM and 8AM. Enjoy your outdoor music with earbuds or a headset since the other guests might not enjoy your choice of music.
We do NOT allow smoking in any of our rooms/units. Guest will be charged a $125.00 deep-cleaning fee if they smoke in our rooms/units
We have provided ash-cans outside the back door of all rooms/units, as well as on our pier. Please help us keep the property clean and safe by properly disposing of your cigarette butts and ashes into the provided ash-cans.
Guests will be given 1 room key at the time of check-in. If an additional key is needed, please ask for it at check-in.
We have a fee of $5.00 for any lost keys.
Pets are welcome at Painted Sky Inn. The fee is $10 per pet/day. 2 Pets per unit allowed. Pets must be on leash when outside.

We do not do a daily service of your room. If you stay 5+ nights, we will service your room on the 4th day. If you do need additional items, fresh towels, more coffee etc, please do not hesitate to ask.
We ask that guests do not leave rooms/units excessively dirty, including dirty dishes. If room is left excessively dirty a charge of $25.00 will be applied.
To reserve a room/unit at Painted Sky Inn, there must be at least 1 adult staying in the room (21 years of age or older).
Free parking is provided for guests who are currently checked in. All vehicles must be registered with the office.
Due to the remote nature and intimate size of Painted Sky Inn, we ask that children under the age of 12 be under the full-time care of parents/guardians. This is to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests.
Our office hours are 8AM-6PM.
Line Limit on Fishing Pier
Guests may put in 2 lines at a time while fishing on our pier. This is to give all guests ample room to fish.
